PAINTING DONE! This was one of the least frustrating I have done in a while. I quite like it.

The long pose from last night. Other than the obscenely long left calf (I actually got my mom’s yardstick and measured my calf and my torso to make sure it was screwed up), it’s not too bad.

The next two drawings didn’t quite live up to the first, but more color was played with, and fun was had by all.

And then I just continued on that theme.
This is, no joke, my best piece of the night. It looks like the dude, the proportions are pretty near correct, and all was swell.

Favorite of the night! This is the new thing I did, drawing the figure in the super soft graphite stick I got from Fontainebleau (this is like the second time I’ve used it… yikes) and doing the background in watercolor. Nothing groundbreaking, but I liked the result.

Now this one I liked. However, I decided that as I have already done at least nine other drawings in this style, I needed to branch out.

Like many of my pieces, this one is subtitled, “I give up.”
Anyway, I finished it.

Overall I thought this one was less successful, though I do like the colors better.

I decided that if I was going to go humiliate myself with my lapsed life drawing skill (not that I was ever an expert anyway), I was going to have fun, dammit. So I took the watercolors.
Thought the last two came out okay.

Ain’t nothing to write home about yet,* but at least I’ve switched out of research mode into drawing mode.

OKAY GUYS THEY ARE UP IN THE SHOP
Both cards AND prints!
PARTAKE, I TELL YOU, IN THE FINENESS OF FRENCH BULLDOGS.
Note: In light of the somewhat time-consuming process of watercoloring, the prints will be $15, which is slightly higher than I previously mentioned.

First four prints in full living color! This should give the general observer an idea of what I’m going for with these guys, such that no two prints are quite alike. And, since there’s a nice amount of variety, I thought I’d make some notecards too.
